In this role, you will craft memorable learning experiences through developing engaging, effective and appealing learning programs.This is a permanent role reporting to the Group Learning and Development Manager. You will be part of a collaborative and dynamic team, albeit the team is geographically dispersed across Australia and New Zealand so the ability to work autonomously is a must.About your roleThe Group Learning Instructional Designer is responsible for learning outcomes for Downer Group wide learning initiatives. This involves identifying the target audience''s learning needs and creating engaging eLearning and online materials to meet these needs.What you''ll be doingBuild Strong Relationships: Foster collaboration with stakeholders to understand business context and upskilling needs, ensuring learning solutions align with organisational goals.Create engaging, fit-for-purpose learning resources and digital experiences that combine sound instructional design with creative visual and multimedia approaches to drive performance and capability uplift.Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts: Work closely with SMEs to develop relevant, engaging learning materials and courses, incorporating different learning styles and strategies.Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback from learners and stakeholders, lead post-implementation reviews, and ensure all learning content remains up-to-date and effective.Regular Reporting: Provide regular updates on program development priorities, status, and timeframes.Develop & Maintain Digital Learning Tools: Develop and maintain templates, tools, and branding strategies for digital learning, ensuring consistency in design, messaging, and user experience across the organisation.What you will bringYou are a highly driven, customer-focused professional with a passion for achieving results. With strong interpersonal skills, you build effective relationships at all levels. Your excellent communication and critical thinking abilities ensure you deliver impactful outcomes in dynamic environment.
