Overseas on-the-ground presence includes Virginia (USA), Netherlands, Denmark, Mexico and Dubai, as well as distributors in over 70 countries worldwide.About the roleDroneShield is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join its Sydney CBD headquarters in a hybrid working model, with an expectation of three days per week in the office. This role is suited to a recruitment professional who has successfully delivered results in fast-growing, complex environments and can manage both technically challenging roles and high recruitment volumes simultaneously.Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, you will act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, teams and the broader business, while representing DroneShield as a professional and credible brand ambassador in the market.Responsibilities, Duties and ExpectationsPartner closely with hiring managers across engineering, operations and corporate functions to understand role requirements, workforce priorities and business objectivesAct as a trusted recruitment advisor, providing guidance on hiring strategy, market insights, roles coping and interview best practiceManage high-volume recruitment pipelines while maintaining quality outcomes across complex and technical rolesOwn the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, feedback management and reference checksProactively source and engage candidates through platforms such as LinkedIn, Seek and other relevant channelsMaintain accurate, well-organised records within the applicant tracking system (ATS)Represent DroneShield professionally in all candidate interactions, strengthening the company''s employer brandWe are a global business. Stakeholders are located in different time zones (including our US and European offices). There is a requirement to occasionally work outside normal business hours.Qualifications, Experience and SkillsDemonstrated experience recruiting for complex engineering and operations roles in fast-scaling organisationsProven ability to manage high recruitment volumes without compromising candidate experience or qualityExperience acting as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and business leadersDefence or national security sector experience is advantageous but not essentialTechnically minded, with the ability to quickly understand engineering and technical role requirementsIn-house recruitment experience preferred; strong agency-only backgrounds will also be consideredHighly motivated, dedicated and proactive self-starter, comfortable working in a small, agile teamStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsClear, confident written and verbal communication skillsOnly candidates currently located in Australia or New Zealand will be considered.
