Our office runs on caffeine and youll be at the heart of it keeping the team fueled and ready to go.This isnt a corporate suit-and-tie kind of place; its a fast-paced social and dynamic environment in the heart of the city.Your role with us:As our Kitchen Hand / Barista you will help support the caf and kitchen duties. This role will be critical in assisting our fast-paced growth and ever-expanding office and workplace experience space!Your hours will be 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday based out of our vibrant CBD office.Your machines: Synesso Hydra (3 Group) and La Marzocco Linear PBYour grinder: Mazzers with Puq PressYour beans: Code BlackYour filtered coffee machine: Mocha MasterWhat you will doBeverage preparation: prepare a variety of coffee, juices and smoothies such as espresso, cappuccino, latte, mocha and iced coffees following the recipes and standards set by the caf.Espresso machine operation: operate the espresso machine proficiently ensuring that the coffee is brewed to the correct specifications including adjusting grind settings, tamping and monitoring extraction times.Customer service: provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, answering questions and making recommendations based on the customers preferences.Menu knowledge: be well informed about the cafes menu offerings including coffee varieties and allergies of staff members and personal preferences.Milk texturing: froth and steam milk to create lattes and other milk based beverages ensuring the milk has the correct texture and temperature.Cleanliness and maintenance: maintain a clean and organised work area including the espresso machine, coffee grinder and other equipment.
