Financial Education Program Manager Talking About FinanceThe Financial Education Program Manager leads Ecstra''s education initiatives and plays a key role in delivering Ecstra''s purpose of ensuring more people can make informed money decisions today, and can plan for their financial futures.With a strong focus on program stewardship, partnerships and engagement, you will manage, promote and support the ongoing development of Ecstra''s flagship financial education program, Talk Money with Ecstra Foundation.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the Talk Money with Ecstra Foundation program, supporting its growth and sustainability in primary and secondary schools.Develop and implement strategies to increase awareness, promote uptake and engagement with Ecstra''s financial education offerings.Build and maintain strong relationships with the facilitation team, schools, teachers, education leaders, teacher and student representative bodies, education authorities and education networks.Engage community organisations, training providers and other learning settings to support financial education delivery beyond schools.Monitor current and emerging issues in financial education, financial literacy and wellbeing including digital and edtech developments.Lead a community of practice and support our external Financial Education Expert Advisory Panel.Coordinate and facilitate learning forums and events, and represent Ecstra externally including attending and hosting conference exhibition stands promoting Talk Money.Review and update program specific resources, impact reports, and collate relevant external materialsnOversee and monitor program delivery by third-party providers, ensuring compliance with agreed contractual requirements and quality standards.Work closely with the Communications team to inform and promote financial education content, including drafting website material, factsheets, blogs and similar.Contribute program evidence and insights to support Ecstra''s advocacy for effective financial education policy through a national financial capability strategy.Pitch in across Ecstra''s activities, recognising the contribution of a small, collaborative and highly engaged team.Your SkillsExcellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging diverse audiences including school students, educators, young adults and community-based learners.Demonstrated experience supporting the promotion and reach of programs through partnerships, communications and stakeholder engagement in a not for profit, education or relevant commercial context.Understanding of the Australian education landscape, including schools, other learning environments (such as TAFE or tertiary settings) and/or community contexts., organisational and problem-solving skills.Experience working with academic experts, technical specialists, advisory groups, not-for-profits or external consultants.Credibility and confidence to contribute to submissions, reports and national conversations about the importance of financial literacy and financial wellbeing.Selfstarter who enjoys working in a small, collaborative team, both inoffice and remotely.QualificationsRelevant tertiary qualifications in education, marketing, finance, business or related social sciences.5+ years postqualification experience in Australia in teaching, education policy, program design delivery and evaluation, or financial capability.Group facilitation skills are an advantage.Must hold, or be willing to apply for, appropriate Working With Children (WWC) clearances.What We OfferCompetitive salary + super + 5 weeks annual leavePurposeful and challenging work with measurable impactA collaborative and friendly small teamFlexible working options (including parttime and partially remote work), with a Sydney CBD officeTo ApplyPlease email your CV and cover letter (maximum two pages), addressing the criteria to [email protected].
