In this role, you''ll apply learning science, pedagogy and instructional design best practice to shape courses, assessments and materials that engage students and support teachers. You''ll collaborate closely with writers, editors, product teams and users, supporting them through clear briefs, coaching and ongoing feedback. This is a handson leadership position ideal for someone with teaching experience, a strong grasp of instructional design and a passion for improving student outcomes.This is a 6 month, fulltime contract position and we are open to candidates across Australia.What you will doStay connected with evidencebased educational best practices and instructional design trends and lead our learning design people and processes to ensure we align with these as appropriateEngage with districts, schools, teachers and students to understand the classroom application of our resources, how they best support teaching and learning best practices and the impact they have on student outcomesDevelop, test and refine prototype lessons with users in order to establish instructional approaches, championing an iterative approach to content deliveryGuide the creation of exemplar lessons and assessments and create accompanying documentation and briefs for writers and designersProvide initial guidance and training for content writers to ensure they are prepared to deliver against the required standardsGuide and partner with our internal content editors to provide ongoing feedback to content writersStay connected to users throughout the content lifecycle, gathering feedback in order to inform continuous iterative improvements of our content in marketLeverage data and analytics to inform and optimise learning and assessment designPartnering with the product lead, own the pedagogical quality and classroom applicability of the resources we provide to usersCoordinate topic mapping, lesson sequencing and creation of learning objectives to ensure logical progression and coverage in each courseEnsure courses are clearly mapped to the curriculum and provide links between curriculum levels and clear difficulty/complexity progressions within each levelManage the structure and layout of learning pathways to ensure effective course organisationAbout youExperience as a qualified Mathematics teacher, ideally at secondary level (Australia/NZ experience welcome, but not essential)The ability to lead, motivate and support writers to deliver highquality content within project timelinesStrong prioritisation skills and the ability to switch between multiple tasks and teamsExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain productive, professional relationships with internal teams, external contractors and usersA collaborative mindset and willingness to work crossfunctionallyExperience coaching individuals to achieve instructional design excellenceA proactive approach to improving standards, processes, and workflowsEquitable opportunities, growth, and development lie at the heart of how we work at EP.
