The Principal is an accredited Independent Childrens Lawyer, on the specialist domestic violence panel, family law panel, cross examination panel, specialist criminal law panel. The firm has a solid stimulating, interesting and varied work inflow.ResponsibilitiesAssisting lawyers and other staff members with administrative duties including telephone attendance, invoicing, drafting cost agreements and receipts, itemised bills, diary management, arranging and scheduling appointments, client correspondences, all correspondences with third party stakeholders including lawyers, Courts and prosecutors, opening and closing files and all other administrative duties.Drafting email, letter and general day to day correspondence.Researching and drafting all Court related documents including affidavits, submissions, orders.Acting as a first point of contact: dealing with phone calls and clients.Providing a high level of administrative and legal assistance including but not limited to creation and maintenance of files, photocopying, complying briefs, data entry and drafting correspondence.Dictaphone typing.Accounts and billing.Attending various venues outside of the business premises to file documents with a Court or statutory body, etc as required.Researching and assisting in preparing legal submissions and documents.Preparing and filing various applications along with all required documents.Skills and ExperienceDemonstrated ability to meet competing deadlines and work under pressure.Advanced MS Office skills in particular Word and Excel.Fast and accurate typing speed of 70+ WPM.Confidence to liaise with professionals at all levels.Great organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.Advanced skills and experience with Microsoft applications Word, Excel, and Outlook.Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills including ability to prioritise tasks and competing deadlines.Exceptional drafting skills and written work.A demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and organise workload to meet tight deadlines.What''s in it for you / perksInteresting and varied work.Down-to-earth, inclusive, vibrant team.Close to public transport and on-site parking available.Pay commensurate with experience.Please forward a covering letter of no more than 250 words together with your CV addressing the selection criteria to [email protected] or Organisation Name: El Baba Lawyers Contact Name: Mona El Baba Email Address: [email protected] Telephone: (02) 9796 7354 Job Level: Graduate - Pre-admission Sector: Legal services Country: Australia State: New South Wales #J-18808-Ljbffr
