No two days are the same; one day you might be supporting someone to learn new life skills the next helping them get out into the community or achieve a personal goal.You''ll be part of a supportive team that genuinely cares about the people we support and about each other.This role requires availability for 6 sleepover shifts per fortnight. Other day shifts are available after a period of time. Permanent part time hours up to 48 per fortnight located at SIL home in Kingaroy.What you''ll be doingSupporting people with daily living activities personal care and routinesAssisting clients with manual handling using hoists and slingsEncouraging independence choice and inclusionSupporting community access social activities and wellbeingBuilding trusted relationships with clients families and colleaguesMaintaining safe respectful and positive environmentsWhat we''re looking forA caring patient and respectful approachStrong communication and relationship-building skillsReliability and a positive cando attitudeAvailability to work a range of shifts (including mornings afternoons evenings weekends and sleepovers penalty rates apply)The capacity to meet the physical requirements as manual handling tasks are involvedA Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous but not requiredIf you''re new to the sector we''ll support you with training and development.You will be required to hold or willing to obtainWorking with Children Check (Blue Card)NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)First Aid & CPR CertificationNational Criminal History Check (Police Check)Australian open Drivers License with comprehensive insurance on your vehicleBenefits and PerksSalary Packaging Benefits!
