We are committed to creating great teams doing innovative work and would love you to join us to Impact the Future.Job DescriptionAs a Civil Designer working with our Brisbane team, you will focus on delivering comprehensive design work for civil projects using AutoCAD and 12D.You will be responsibleDesign and drafting of multi-disciplinary projects including: Culverts, Pipe Networks, Creek Rehabilitation, Detention Basins, Dams, Erosion and Sediment Control Works, Bulk Earthworks; Civil Infrastructure including Roads and Retaining WallsPreparation of construction documentationReview of drafting documentationSupporting and approving associated technical work directly related to the disciplinePlaying an active role in the business groups through regular meetings, workshops, training and business planningQualificationsIdeally, you will have 3-5+ years of experience in civil design within a professional services or consultancy environment. In addition, you will also have:Diploma of Engineering Technology (or similar) or significant experience as a civil designerProficiency in 12D and AutoCad 2DA thorough understanding of civil design principles pertaining to land development, storm water, flood modelling, civil infrastructure or roads (preferred disciplines)Experience working with clients in the mining sector highly desiredAbility to define problems and relevant constraints and risks and discuss with EngineersWillingness to coach junior designers with advice on solutions and develop fit-for-purpose solutions to engineering problemsAbility to autonomously develop complex designs and drawingsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong organisationAdditional InformationWe are open to considering this role on a full-time, part-time or job-share basis.
