The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of motor vehicles in accordance with industry standards.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesDiagnose faults in engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking, and electrical systemsDismantle, inspect, and remove engine assemblies, gearboxes, steering mechanisms, and related componentsRepair or replace worn or faulty parts using appropriate tools and techniquesReassemble mechanical components and conduct testing to ensure correct operationPerform scheduled servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, and safety inspectionsCarry out roadworthy inspections and prepare detailed reports on vehicle conditionUtilise diagnostic equipment and service manuals to accurately identify and rectify issuesTune, adjust, and test engines to maintain optimal performance and efficiencyMaintain accurate service and repair recordsCommunicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, recommendations, and associated costsEnsure all work complies with workplace safety, environmental, and regulatory requirementsSkills and Experience RequiredMinimum 1 year of experience working as a motor mechanic in a busy workshop, fleet or transport environment.Trade certificate or equivalent qualification in automotive/mechanical servicing.Strong understanding of vehicle mechanical systems, diagnostics, fault-finding and repair processes.Excellent communication and teamwork skills, able to liaise with drivers, operations staff and suppliers.Comfortable working to production demands and prioritising tasks to minimise vehicle downtime.Valid Australian driver''s license and own tools preferred.What We OfferCompetitive salary based on experienceStable, full-time employmentSupportive team environmentOpportunities for ongoing training and career development #J-18808-Ljbffr
