Head Office Import Duty Recovery & Customs Analyst #1048013Job DescriptionOverviewSeeking an experienced contract professional to support a high-volume U.S. import duty correction, protest, and recovery initiative.This role will focus on administering, tracking, and reporting on duty refunds and post-entry filings with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), as well as supporting Sales and accounting with corresponding commercial settlements with customers.This position requires advanced data analysis skills and the ability to work independently in a results-oriented environment.The role will make extensive use of Excel, Power BI, and the U.S. Customs ACE system.Scope of Work / Key ResponsibilitiesImport Duty Corrections & RecoveriesSupport/oversee customs brokers in high-volume post-entry duty corrections, including Post Summary Corrections (PSCs), protests, and refund claims.Track, reconcile, and report on import duty payments, post-summary corrections, protests, recoveries and aging settlements with CBP.Monitor CBP status updates, liquidation timelines, and refund postings.Investigate and resolve discrepancies between CBP data and internal financial records or customer provided data.CBP ACE System UtilizationConduct research and utilize reporting within the CBP ACE portal to summarize and/or validate timely corrections, liquidations, protests and payments executed to us.Support issue resolution with customs brokers related to filings, corrections, and documentation.Work with our customs specialists and brokers to ensure data accuracy and reconciled reporting between CBP ACE portal, customs brokers, customers and internal accounting personnel.Data Analysis & Reporting DeliverablesUtilize and refresh Excel or Power BI dashboards providing visibility into duty recovery pipeline and aging, approved vs. denied claims, realized recoveries and customer reimbursements.Perform trend and root-cause analysis to identify systemic duty issues.Communication & Stakeholder InteractionProvide clear, concise updates to Trade Compliance, Finance, and Commercial stakeholders.Prepare summary reports and presentations for leadership review.Support audits, internal reviews, and documentation requests related to duty recovery activity.Required Contract QualificationsFamiliarity or functional preferred experience in:S. trade complianceCustoms brokerage or post-entry operationsImport duty recovery or protest administrationHands-on experience with CBP ACE system preferred but not mandatory to startWorking Knowledge OfPost Summary Corrections (PSC)Protests and liquidation processesExcel proficiency (Power Query, pivots, complex formulas)Power BI experience (dashboard creation, reporting)Proven ability to manage large data volumes with accuracyStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Contract ExperienceExperience supporting high-volume importers or multi-entity environmentsFamiliarity with Section 301/232/IEEPA tariffs, exclusions, or refundsPrior background in one or more: finance, accounting, audit, customs compliance, data analytics.S.
