Our bakehouse is growing, and we now have an opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter to join our team of pie-loving individuals in Keilor Park, VIC and be part of baking history. As an integral member of the Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses Keilor Park maintenance team, the Maintenance Fitter will make a strong contribution to a high performing Operations team and team culture within our Keilor Park Manufacturing Site.We are committed to sustainability and reducing environmental impact, with a world-class facility and ongoing opportunities to improve.ResponsibilitiesCarry out preventative maintenance to plant and equipment within the facilityCarry out service and repair of mechanical plant and equipment within the facilityStock control of all relevant consumablesIn consultation with Production staff, identify equipment and areas requiring attentionConstant review of production line to ensure optimal effectivenessPrioritise all types of given workDiagnose faults and carry out modifications to equipmentEffective reporting of any issues relating to company OH&S & QA policiesPoint of contact when attending a breakdownAccurate and complete recording keepingParticipate in all training as required by the companyComply with Occupational Health and Safety standardsComply with all food regulatory and QA requirementsComply with all HACCP requirementsObserve good manufacturing practice and comply with all GMP requirementsQualifications / ExperienceMechanical trade certificate - Fitter, Fitter and Turner or Fitter/Machinist QualificationHigh level of technical and diagnostic skillsProcess-based risk assessment skillsExcellent communication and numeracy skillsFood Manufacturing knowledge or relevant industry experienceMinimum of two years of demonstrated experience in an industrial/production/facility maintenance environmentStrong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintenance issuesPlanning, organisation, and problem-solving skillsStrong technical aptitudeReliable, motivated, and punctualHave a strong work ethicBe physically fit and healthy for workProven ability to work as part of a teamAbility to work under limited supervision and independentlyGood communication skills and possess effective leadership qualitiesAbility to develop and maintain supportive cross functional relationshipsUnderstanding and practice of food hygiene and food handling conceptsBenefitsAccess to fantastic benefits including:All the baked goods you can ever dream ofOngoing learning and developmentAmple opportunities for you to grow your career within our businessApplyAre you ready to become a legend in the baking and be part of a sweet and delicious team?
