Job TitleRegional and Fire Management Services Division Fire Training Officer or Senior Fire Training Officer (DBCA3019088). Level 4 or 5. Salary $95,782 $100,526 or $105,167 $114,938 plus 12% superannuation.Location & Position TypePermanent, fulltime. Based in Kensington, Bunbury (alternative locations may be considered by negotiation).Application DeadlineApplications close at midday on Friday, 6 February 2026.About the DivisionThe Operational Training Unit (OTU) of the Regional and Fire Management Services Division designs, delivers and records operational training to meet agency needs, with a strong focus on regional delivery. The OTU maintains department capacity to deliver nationally recognised training, eLearning solutions, and accurate training records.Role OverviewUnder the general (Level 4) or limited (Level 5) direction of the Fire Training Coordinator, this position:Participates in the design and development (Level 4) or designs and conducts (Level 5) fire management training and assessment programs.Reports on (Level 4) or participates in monitoring (Level 5) the effectiveness and standards of training delivery and assessment.Selection CriteriaApplicants should address the following four (4) criteria. These should be addressed in no more than four (4) pages in total.Highly developed (Level 5) or welldeveloped (Level 4) written, oral and interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated experience (Level 5) or experience (Level 4) in effective liaison and negotiation at a senior level to achieve organisational goals with internal and external stakeholders.Experience in effective team leadership and project management (Level 5) or demonstrated ability to work with initiative as a member of a team and alone with minimal supervision (Level 4) and ability to meet deadlines. Evidence of strong conceptual and analytical skills and at Level 5 the ability to handle complex and detailed information with ease.Experience in (Level 5) or the ability to (Level 4) assess training needs and design, deliver and evaluate quality training and resources, including computerdriven presentations.Demonstrated competence and experience in fire management roles, including bush fire incident management, and an appreciation of the role of policies, practices and procedures in fire management.About DBCADBCA, one of Western Australia''s largest state government agencies, offers exciting and challenging career opportunities in biodiversity conservation and park and natural resource management.
