We are working on exciting projects such as Avatar: The Last Airbender feature film, Netflix''s Ghostbusters animated series and Stranger Things animated series, as well as our production Tales From Outer Suburbia by Shaun Tan.This is a fixedterm contract position that may be performed remotely from anywhere within Australia (no offshore remote available), with working hours aligned to Sydney time. The anticipated start date is late February 2026.About the roleWork closely with Producers and the HR and Recruitment Manager to deliver production resourcing across animation and film projectsManage multiple open roles simultaneously in a fast paced production environment with shifting prioritiesProactively source candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, industry networks, referrals and direct outreachMaintain a strong active pipeline of creative, technical and production talent for current and future animation productionsBuild and maintain a broad network of animation industry contacts with awareness of talent availability, movement and market trendsRelease engaging recruitment advertisements aligned with Company brand guidelinesScreen, shortlist and assess candidates for technical capability, production fit, availability and team alignmentSubmit shortlisted candidates to Producers and Supervisors with clear recommendations and insightsOrganise and participate in interviews as required and ensure a high quality candidate experienceManage end to end candidate communication including rejections, offers and onboarding coordinationSupport Producers with rate benchmarking, offer management and contract negotiationsEnsure all recruitment activity is accurately tracked and maintained in the ATSAssist with documenting, updating and refining studio job descriptions as production needs evolveProvide recruitment market insights to Production and People and Culture teamsRepresent the studio at animation industry events, festivals and recruitment initiatives as requiredContribute to continuous improvement of recruitment processes, tools and workflowsDevelop relationships with universities, institutions and training programs to support early career animation talent pipelinesAbout youMinimum of 3 years experience recruiting within animation, vfx or filmProven experience recruiting for creative, technical and production roles within animationStrong understanding of animation pipelines, production cycles and role requirementsExperience working in production environments with high volume and time critical hiringDemonstrated recruitment experience within animation, film or VFX environmentsStrong understanding of creative and technical roles across animation, film and VFX pipelinesExceptional organisational skills with strong attention to detailProven ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in fast paced environmentsAdvanced experience using ATS platformsStrong sourcing capability using LinkedIn Recruiter and other industry toolsEstablished industry network with the ability to identify and engage high quality talentStrong communication and relationship management skills with candidates and stakeholdersConfidence in negotiating rates, contracts and start dates with talent and hiring managersHigh level of discretion when handling confidential and commercially sensitive informationAdvanced Microsoft Suite and GSuite skillsFlexibility, adaptability and willingness to respond to changing production needsStrong passion for animation, film, television and the creative production industryWhat do we doFlying Bark Productions is a renowned independent producer of familyfocused animation entertainment.
