You''ll be involved across the full product lifecycle from concept and detailed design through prototyping, testing and commercialisation.This is a handson technical role suited to someone who enjoys combining design creativity with engineering discipline, problemsolving and collaboration. Your work will directly contribute to product performance, customer satisfaction and manufacturing efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop innovative window and door products that meet functional, aesthetic and performance requirements.Produce detailed CAD drawings, 3D models, technical documentation and specifications for prototyping and manufacture.Ensure all designs comply with Australian Standards, building codes and G. James quality requirements.Support product prototyping and testing activities, including wind & water, acoustics, cycle testing, security and energy performance.Analyse test results and implement design improvements.Optimise designs for manufacturability, costeffectiveness and production efficiency.Support the Product Manager through product commercialisation and launch activities.Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, sales and marketing teams to maintain design intent.Contribute to continuous improvement of existing products based on market feedback and technical advancements.Maintain accurate and uptodate design documentation and records.Promote and uphold strong health and safety practices.About YouYou are a detailoriented and technically capable designer who enjoys working in a structured product development environment.
