Alongside our technology, it''s our people who drive our success.Role PurposeThe Lead Workshop Engineer oversees the daily operations of the workshop and Repair team, ensuring efficient and effective repair of faulty modules and setup of new equipment for client installations. The role involves managing schedules, assigning tasks, maintaining quality standards and providing leadership to meet deadlines and achieve customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesMAIN RESPONSIBILITIESWorkshop RepairPerform repairs and oversee the repair work conducted by Workshop Engineers, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and expected timeframes.Ensure efficient diagnosis and repair of faulty modules within expected timeframes, maintaining optimum quality levels throughout the repair process.Track all parts usage and ensure the correct job application of job closing procedures to maintain optimum quality levels of repairs.Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the workshop area.Hold weekly team meetings to facilitate communication and information sharing among the team members, fostering a collaborative working environment.Ensure the workshop team is correctly equipped with tools and resources required to undertake repairs effectively.Ensure timely delivery of warehouse requirements for spare parts, maintaining adequate stock levels to support repair activities.Maintain and oversee third party repair services, ensuring they meet optimum quality standards.Perform administrative activities in the system, including documentation and record-keeping.Machine SetupUndertake and coordinate the setup of new equipment according to customer specifications.Ensure effective testing and repairing of refurbished units to meet quality standards and customer requirements.Team Leadership:Effectively lead and manage the Workshop team with authenticity to drive team performance, engagement and cultural alignment.Foster a culture of engagement, excitement and continual learning across the team.Proactively participate in people management processes including ePDR''s, managing for performance, team development, wellbeing and recognition.Ensure employees understand the performance standards, goals and behaviours needed to be successful.Health and SafetyAdherence to Health & Safety policies and procedures at all timesEnsure team members are informed of health & safety requirements in the workplace and are adequately trained to carry out their work safelyEnsure the prompt and accurate reporting, recording and investigation of all workplace incidents and injuriesEnsure all hazards are promptly assessed for their significances, and managed according to the hazard management processConduct regular Safety Toolbox Talks with the Team, utilising Glory''s Toolbox Talk template.Skills, Knowledge & ExpertiseREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEQualifications:Completed a recognised engineering or electro-mechanical qualification or similarQualifications in Frontline Management preferredExperience:Minimum 2 years'' experience in a similar roleREQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIESProficient in mechanical techniques and operations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsSelf-driven with a solution-orientated approachProven ability in problem solving and analytical thinkingDetail-oriented with a focus on efficiencyStrong organisational abilitiesProven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesCapable of leading and motivating a team to achieve objectivesProficient in MS Office and other relevant softwareStrong quality and customer orientationUnderstanding of warehouse management practicesProven ability to lead, motivate and build capability in othersKnowledge of and commitment to industry leading safety and environmental practicesJob BenefitsGlory ValuesThe Glory Values represent our commitment to collaboration, diversity and innovation.
