Brief DescriptionOpportunity to work part time (0.4 FTE, 15.2 hours per week)Salary packaging, gifted leave at Christmas and Easter, paid parental leaveCompetitive above-award salary, SCHADS Level 6.1 (pro rata) - $112,304.77About The RoleThe Changing Ways Program, delivered by Good Shepherd in partnership with Peninsula Health, is a Victorian pilot aimed at reducing family violence and supporting victim survivors. We are seeking a Wellbeing & Recovery Practitioner to provide therapeutic support for women and children following engagement with our Case Management service.In this role, you will deliver individual and group interventions to help rebuild confidence, promote selfefficacy, and reduce isolation. You''ll codesign therapeutic programs with victim survivors, facilitate peer group work, and provide referral pathways and resources.A key responsibility is supporting children and young people as victim survivors in their own right, working alongside parents/carers and aligning with Child & Young Person MARAM Practice guidelines. This position complements the work of our Comprehensive Case Manager through collaborative cocase management.This is a contract role until June 2026.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate traumainformed individual support and group work for women experiencing family violence, including those with complex needs.Contribute to program development, including group session content and resource portfolio for practitioners and clients.Provide individual support to promote healing and recovery and refer to other services as needed.Work within the MARAM framework, including FVISS and CISS informationsharing schemes.Identify risks, support safety planning, and collaborate with the Comprehensive Case Manager.Apply evidencebased practices and relevant theories to support victim survivors.Assess client suitability for group participation on an ongoing basis.Maintain accurate, comprehensive case files and ensure timely data entry in line with privacy and program requirements.Liaise with family violence and community sector workers to build networks and partnerships.Support recovery plans for children in collaboration with the Case Manager and advocate for their best interests.Promote the child''s voice in decisionmaking and use traumainformed, strengthsbased approaches.Participate in program evaluation and continuous improvement activities.About YouFormal qualifications in psychology, counselling, family therapy, social work or equivalent demonstrated experience.Demonstrated experience working with women and children who have experienced family violence.Demonstrated understanding of the impacts of family violence on a child''s development and wellbeing.Demonstrated understanding and experience in traumainformed practice.Demonstrated experience facilitating and delivering group work.An understanding of the supports and referral pathways available to women and their families.MARAM training.BenefitsSalary packaging which can add up to $15,900 in taxfree pay per year.4 days gifted leave at Christmas and Easter (prorata).Up to 100 hours of paid study leave (where relevant to role).12 weeks paid parental leave (primary career).Additional leave through purchase leave pathways.Employee Assistance Program, a free and confidential counselling service.Eligible for participation in the portable long service leave programme.About UsOur 20232027 strategy outlines the world we want to see and our role in advancing it.
