OverviewGrace Lutheran College is seeking a caring and passionate Chaplain to serve as part of our dynamic Ministry team at our Caboolture campus. The Chaplain will be a gifted-but-humble leader with experience in effective ministry to youth (especially girls). They will be an engaging communicator (including from up-front), and ideally have experience providing pastoral care, building teams and organizing group activities. They should have a fantastic attitude, be an effective team-player and be clearly called to this type of Christian ministry.Reporting to: Campus Chaplain (Cab) and Senior ChaplainPosition type: Permanent, Part Time, Term Time 26 hours per weekAnticipated Commencement Date: As soon as negotiatedAbout you Specific RequirementsResponsibilities (illustrative)Provide pastoral care to students with care and professionalism.Lead and participate in ministry activities and group, including outreach and program delivery to students.Demonstrate effective communication skills, including up-front presentations and engagement with students and staff.Build and lead teams, coordinate group activities, and manage priorities with timely communication to stakeholders.Collaborate with college leadership to support the ethos and values of Grace Lutheran College.Qualifications and Selection CriteriaEthos: Demonstrated commitment to the ethos, Christian values and teachings of the College.Qualifications and Job-specific Skills: Demonstrated skills and relevant qualifications to fulfil the position advertised.Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work with a team leader and supporting team to achieve outcomes; combine personal skills with team strengths for collaborative results.Service Focus: Ability to meet deadlines within competing demands while maintaining excellent customer service and team harmony.Initiative and Flexibility: Demonstrated initiative, efficiency, perseverance and flexibility to contribute to a learning community.Qualifications: Certificate IV of Youth Ministry (or similar) or working toward this; Working with Children accreditation (Blue Card) or ability to obtain this accreditation.Experience: Clear sense of calling to high school chaplaincy ministry, with experience in ministry leadership, team building, engaging/accurate communication (including up-front) and strong self-leadership; competency in providing pastoral care.About UsGrace Lutheran College is a large two-campus, co-educational secondary school with a strong history of excellent education.
