About the roleAs a Groundsman at The Westport Club, you will be part of a great team who maintain this bowling club to an exceptional standard. This handson role will see you upkeeping the greens and surrounding landscaped areas to a level that exceeds the clients'' expectations.If you have a passion for working in amazing green spaces, possess a keen eye for detail, and are genuinely dedicated to environmental sustainability, then we want to hear from you!Working a base of 20 hours per week, during summer the hours will increase up to 38 per week.ResponsibilitiesPerform mowing, trimming, edging, aeration, and other green space management practices to maintain quality of bowling greens.Maintain landscaped surrounds, ensuring high aesthetic and functional standards.Monitor and control turf health including pest, weed, and disease management practices in line with environmental guidelines.Operate and maintain all relevant machinery and equipment safely and undertake minor repairs and servicing as required.Assist with irrigation scheduling, water usage monitoring, and related audits.Support weekend and event-day preparation and maintenance activities as required.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment condition, and chemical use.Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for self and others.Participate in regular team meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions.BenefitsWe believe in taking fantastic care of our team members!
