Wilga Farming (Australia) operates on behalf of investors and is proudly managed by Gunn Agri Partners, a leading Australian agricultural asset manager with over 1.1 million hectares under management across mixed farming, cattle and natural capital assets. Across the Wilga Farming platform, we manage 33,000+ hectares in NSW and WA. The Burmah Aggregation combines productive cropping, quality grazing, and conservation land offering a dynamic and progressive farming operation focused on sustainable growth and high performance.About The PropertyThe aggregation is an 8,877ha mixed enterprise farm made up of 3 separate properties (Burmah - 5,437ha, The Glen 1,293ha and Kulki 2,147ha) located within 60km from Inverell and approx. 400km to Brisbane. The property consists of 4,600ha arable cropping area with scope for further cropping development based on land use selection in line with operational parameters.This is an opportunity for a capable cropping professional who enjoys responsibility, values high standards, and wants to contribute to a well-structured and progressive farming business.About The RoleWe''re seeking a skilled and motivated Cropping Manager to run day-to-day broadacre cropping operations across our Burmah Aggregation.In this role, you will ensure all cropping activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and aligned with production targets, seasonal plans, and Wilga Farming''s high operational standards.Working closely with the Aggregation Manager, you will lead and support the operational team, maintain plant and equipment, coordinate seasonal programs, and contribute to planning, reporting and continuous improvement.You will also act as the operational lead in the Farm Manager''s absence.This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced professional who thrives in a structured, progressive farming environment.What You''ll Be DoingAs Cropping Manager, you will have accountability for the successful delivery of the cropping program from planning through to harvest. Your focus will be on execution, leadership and continuous improvement.Key Aspects Of The Role IncludeLeading and coordinating all cropping activities to ensure seasonal plans are delivered effectivelyTranslating agronomic and operational plans into practical, timely on-farm executionMonitoring crop performance, soil health and field conditions, and adjusting operations as neededOverseeing the safe, efficient use and maintenance of machinery, vehicles and equipmentManaging inputs, logistics and accurate operational recordsProviding leadership and direction to the cropping team, fostering accountability and teamworkActing as the operational lead across the aggregation when the Aggregation Manager is absentWorking collaboratively with agronomists, contractors and suppliers to drive strong outcomesAbout YouYou''ll be a confident cropping professional with hands-on experience in large-scale broadacre systems and the ability to lead by example.Ideally, You Will BringProven experience as a Cropping Manager, Cropping Overseer or in a senior cropping roleStrong knowledge of modern cropping systems, machinery and precision agricultureA sound understanding of agronomy, soil health and sustainable farming practicesThe ability to plan, prioritise and deliver operations in line with seasonal conditionsWell-developed leadership skills and the confidence to guide a small teamStrong organisational skills with a high standard of record keeping and reportingChemCert accreditation (or willingness to obtain)A current Australian Driver''s Licence (HR or higher desirable)Tertiary Qualifications In Agriculture Are Advantageous But Not Essential.Why Join Us?We cultivate a culture built on integrity, teamwork, excellence, sustainability and community contribution.
