OverviewJob DescriptionThis role will be offered as a FIFO opportunity from/to Australia working on a 16/12-day roster. Reporting to the Fixed Plant Maintenance Manager, and with a team of 5 direct reports, the Reliability Superintendent will provide leadership and support to the reliability engineering team at Hidden Valley Mine. This leadership role will assist in the development, implementation and sustainment of a reliability assurance framework which supports Asset Management and predictive engineering for fixed plant, aligning with the upcoming ISO 55000/1/2 standards and the MCG Asset Management Framework, while developing the next generation of reliability engineers.ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain standards and policies for the Fixed Plant Maintenance Department; plan and implement solutions from the Harmony Asset Management FrameworkOversee the implementation of management initiatives and ensure alignment with strategy and the requirements of other departments and stakeholdersParticipate as a key member of the FPM Leadership Team to develop initiatives, strategies, standards and policies to ensure project implementation in accordance with the strategic business planPromote active participation of employees in identifying and reporting potential safety and environmental hazards; liaise with Health, Safety, Environmental and Community Relations staff regarding issues, incidents or non-compliance within the area of responsibilityEnsure that all employees and contractors comply with the Safety and Environmental Management Plan and the company''s community relations policiesEngage in the development of departmental budgets and business plans that are consistent with the Fixed Plant Maintenance Work Management Process, as well as company objectives and strategic plansEncourage employees to investigate and trial new ideas, methods and technology to ensure continuous improvement throughout the DepartmentLead decision making, while ensuring that employees are empowered to make decisions on issues within their competencyMonitor decision quality, checking for adherence to policies and standards, and coaching and mentoring for improvementQualificationsYou must be an experienced professional who is self-motivated and able to work efficiently and collaboratively in a team environment, holding the following qualifications and experience:Minimum 5 years of senior reliability engineering experience within a mining environmentMinimum 5 years'' experience in a supervisory roleExperience establishing and implementing processes and procedures that deliver on the objectives for a reliability assurance frameworkTertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Asset Management, Maintenance Management or Reliability EngineeringStrong technical leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team membersPlanning and work management experience in a FIFO environmentHighly effective communication and interpersonal skills at all organisational levelsStrong analytical and diagnostic skillsBenefitsThe opportunity to work for an international mining company with a diverse workforceWork for a company that values its employees and recognises their contributionExcellent safety recordCorporate / discounted rates with Medibank and Qantas ClubAccess to Harmony''s benefits discounts schemeThe successful applicant must be able to meet the requirements for a PNG Work Permit application (organised by Harmony) and a Federal Police Clearance.
