The Northern Cancer Service delivers comprehensive oncology and haematology care, working collaboratively with services in Burnie and Mersey to support patients across the state.The team values:Multidisciplinary collaborationHigh clinical standardsEducation and supervisionContinuous quality improvementThe RoleYou will deliver a comprehensive consultative haematology service across inpatient and outpatient settings, with responsibilities spanning both clinical and laboratory practice.Key responsibilities include:Management of malignant and non-malignant haematological disordersDiagnostic laboratory haematology reportingContribution to transfusion, coagulation and haemophilia servicesParticipation in state-wide outreach clinicsTeaching and supervision of medical staff and studentsEngagement in audit, research and service developmentParticipation in an after-hours on-call rosterYou will be:Experienced in both Clinical and Laboratory HaematologySpecialist registration (or eligibility) with the Medical Board of Australia in HaematologyFellowship (or eligibility) of RCPA and/ or RACP; OREquivalent overseas specialist qualification (CCT - UK, CSCST - Ireland, ABIM-USA, RCPSC -Canada, Vocational Registration -NZ)The LocationLaunceston is one of Australia''s most liveable regional cities, known for its heritage charm, thriving food and wine culture, and easy access to world-class outdoor pursuits.
