The Hospital is renowned for its commitment to professional development, staff wellbeing, and work-life balance, and embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of care.The RoleAs a Staff or Senior Staff Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, you will:Deliver high-quality clinical care for inpatients and outpatients across Obstetrics and GynaecologyParticipate in emergency after-hours care and outreach services to smaller regional facilitiesLead and supervise junior doctors and medical students, supporting professional development and workplace-based assessmentsContribute to service improvement, teaching, audits, and research projectsWork within a values-driven, collaborative team culture, focusing on patient-centred care and innovationRequirementsSpecialist registration (or eligibility) with the Medical Board of Australia in Obstetrics & Gynaecology orEquivalent overseas specialist qualification (CCT UK, CSCST Ireland, ABIM USA, RCPSC Canada, Vocational Registration NZ)Fellowship (or eligibility) via RANZCOGAHPRA registration (or imminent eligibility)LocationSituated on the eastern coastline of Queensland, Mackay is a vibrant regional city with beaches, rainforests, and proximity to the Whitsunday Islands and Great Barrier Reef.
