Lady Davidson Private Hospital is a leading private rehabilitation facility in North Turramurra, Sydney. The hospital has 115 inpatient beds and a busy day patient program. Both inpatient and day patient programs are based on an interdisciplinary team approach where all team members play an integral role. The major casemix groups are orthopaedic, neurological, cardiac, and reconditioning, as well as palliative care and general medical.Role overviewAllied Health assistants (AHAs) are integral to the Allied Health team and provide clinical and administrative assistance and support to the Allied Health Professionals - to ensure the delivery of a high quality rehabilitation service. AHAs work under the direction and supervision of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and others to help clients achieve their rehabilitation goals.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, manage time effectively and complete activitiesDemonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and email applications.Current NSW drivers licence and willingness to drive for work purposesOccupational therapy or physiotherapy qualification without APHRA registration, orCertificate IV in Allied Health AssistanceDemonstrated knowledge of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy rolesExperience working with or providing care to people in a health care settingA basic understanding of exercise classesWhy Healthscope?When you join Healthscope, you become part of our Community of Care.
