Our staff pride themselves on friendliness, professionalism and service with a ''SMILE''.About The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Kitchen Hand who has a bright, outgoing personality and exceptional customer service skills to ensure the smooth operation of the Hervey Bay RSL Club''s back of house facilities. Reporting to the Catering manager/Executive Chef and Head Chef, your key responsibilities will include:Washing of plates, crockery etc using a commercial dish washer and cleaning by handCleaning of industry cooking trays, utensils and equipment in pot wash areaCleaning down of bench tops, floors etc using correct chemicals and cleaning to industry standardsTaking down rubbish and cardboard to designated areasFood service - when on pot wash side you are also required to be a food runner, including use of ovens and taking food to the front displayPrep assist with food prep such as slicing tomatoes, cucumbers, making salads, etc.Working as a team and following direct orders from supervisorsAbility to stand for extended periodsPosition involves manual handling and liftingTime management and strong organisational skills to ensure efficient workflowThis role has casual hours, with a weekly roster. Shifts range from early morning starts to very late finishing times. Must be available days, nights, weekends, public holidays and split shifts.About YouAs someone with previous experience in the hospitality industry, you will possess a passion for delivering a high standard of hygiene and food safety.
