We foster a supportive, inclusive environment that encourages both staff and students to grow, innovate, and make a positive community impact.The OpportunityCasual AppointmentTeaching $90.07 - $97.31 p/h + 12% super (dependent on qualifications and experience)Chadstone Campus onsite parking with close proximity to public transportHolmesglen''s Plumbing and Mechanical Services Department delivers pre-apprenticeship, apprenticeship, and post-trade programs in purpose-built facilities that reflect real industry environments, supporting strong employment outcomes.ResponsibilitiesThe role of Plumbing Teacher involves delivering Certificate II and/or Certificate IV in Plumbing through high-quality, compliant teaching and assessment aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The position supports learners throughout their learning journey, develops and maintains training and assessment resources, builds strong industry relationships, and works collaboratively with the teaching team to achieve positive student outcomes.As a Teacher, You WillDeliver engaging, inclusive, and industry-aligned training and assessment for Certificate II and/or Certificate IV in Plumbing using innovative teaching strategies.Develop high-quality learning and assessment resources across a range of programs, delivery modes, and locations.Support students throughout their learning journey, including pre-course advice, assessment, feedback, and tailored learning support.Engage with industry and stakeholders to inform training delivery, workplace learning, and continuous improvement.Maintain compliance, administration, and professional currency in line with VET, regulatory, and organisational requirements.To Be Successful, You''ll HaveCertificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent.Certificate IV in Plumbing (or approved equivalent qualification, at least to the level being delivered and assessed), with current registration/licences.Sound knowledge of VET requirements, including compliance and training packages.Current industry experience and ability to deliver practical, contemporary training.Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.Professional, flexible, and ethical approach with a commitment to inclusivity and student wellbeing.WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Victorian ''employee'' Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.Our Commitment To YouAt Holmesglen Institute, we are committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and flexible workplace where our employees can thrive both personally and professionally.
