You''ll join a values-led team where support, inclusion, and hope are at the heart of everything we do.Make meaningful impact walk alongside women as they rebuild their livesSupportive, purpose-led team work in a collaborative, compassionate environmentWellbeing focus access salary packaging and wellness benefitsCareer experience - develop your knowledge on how trauma informed holistic support can be life changing for women with experiences of homelessness and disadvantageProfessional growth participate in reflective supervision, team learning, and ongoing developmentJob DescriptionAbout the roleYou will support the delivery of Women''s Centre programs that empower women and strengthen engagement, in line with Catherine House''s mission.Key responsibilities:Manage the day-to-day operations of the Women''s Centre, ensuring effective and high-quality service delivery.Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for clients, staff, and volunteers.Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, stakeholders, and clients to respond to changing community needs.Develop and implement operational procedures, schedules, and program improvements.Collect and analyse program data to support planning, reporting, and funding requirements.Research and apply for grant funding and ensure compliance with funding and reporting obligations.Recruit, induct, and support volunteers and relief TutorsCoordinate Centre activities, events, and communications with internal and external stakeholders.Support client s engagement in centre activities and education courses .Support volunteers, tutors and other course facilitators who are delivery a workshop, course, information session or activity in the centre.Act as the WHS site representative and contribute to the Centre''s strategic planning and promotion.Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout youYou will have:Relevant tertiary qualification in community or health services or equivalent experienceStrong interpersonal skills with a compassionate, non-judgemental approach.Ability to manage incidents, de-escalation and crisis situations calmly.Understanding of women''s homelessness, including the impacts of trauma, domestic violence, and mental healthKnowledge of privacy, confidentiality, and volunteer practice standardsProven experience in a similar community, housing, or human services roleExperience in program coordination, reporting, and volunteer recruitment and supportStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlinesWell-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex client situationsAbility to work independently and collaboratively, using initiative and creativityStrong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skillsYou must agree to undergo any required employment screening, including but not limited to a National Criminal History or Police Check, Working with Children or Vulnerable Persons Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check.Housing Choices Australia is a child safe organisation.
