Responsibilities Personal Training Deliver a consistent workload of personal training sessions as a core responsibility of the role Build and maintain a steady PT client base through high-quality service and proactive member engagement Conduct comprehensive health and fitness assessments, movement screenings, and onboarding consultations Design and deliver personalised, periodised training programs aligned to member goals and capabilities Provide expert guidance on technique, progression, equipment use, and safe training practices Complete regular follow-ups, session notes, and progress reviews to support retention and satisfaction Support rehabilitation, conditioning, and wellness programs in collaboration with allied health providers and sporting departments Contribute to the promotion and growth of personal training services Program Development & Management Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing Health & Fitness programs across all member demographics Support coordination of group fitness schedules, member initiatives, and the annual Health & Fitness event calendar Identify opportunities for program improvement and increased member participation Support quality and consistency across program delivery and instructor performance Member Service & Engagement Maintain a visible, professional, and approachable presence on the gym floor Support member onboarding, follow-ups, and progress check-ins Respond to member enquiries with timely, courteous, and solution-focused communication Build strong relationships that enhance member satisfaction and retention Assist in resolving day-to-day member issues in line with Club guidelines Conduct regular member checks within Health & Fitness facilities Contractor Management Support onboarding and compliance of Health & Fitness contractors Communicate operational processes, service standards, and expectations clearly Provide constructive feedback and support to maintain high-quality member experiences Assist with attendance verification, session delivery checks, and invoicing accuracy Monitor contractor conduct and safety practices in line with Club policies Leadership & Operations Act as a positive role model within a professional, member-focused team environment Provide guidance to staff and contractors on service delivery and engagement standards Assist with scheduling, class coverage, and recruitment processes as required Support daily operational management including equipment checks, facility presentation, and safety compliance Assist with risk management, incident reporting, and operational administration Collaborate with other Club departments to support a seamless member experience Financial & Business Support Support initiatives that grow personal training and group fitness participation Assist in monitoring key performance metrics including PT sessions, class occupancy, and engagement trends Provide input into pricing, program viability, and financial reporting Promote Health & Fitness programs, challenges, and initiatives Assist in identifying new commercial opportunities and value-adding services About You Certificate IV in Fitness (or equivalent) Current First Aid and CPR certification Experience in personal training, gym operations, or group fitness environments Strong communication and interpersonal skills A demonstrated commitment to service excellence and member wellbeing Some experience managing a team Tertiary qualifications in Exercise Science, Sports Management, or a related discipline Experience supervising or coordinating staff or contractors Experience working in a premium or member-only health club Experience in program development or health club administration Why Join Kooyong?
