About the RoleDue to an internal career progression, we are seeking a Senior Data Governance Specialist to play a critical role in strengthening and embedding enterprise-wide data governance capabilities across Super Retail Group (SRG).Acting as a senior subject matter expert, this role will lead the delivery of the Data Governance Foundations program, partnering closely with key stakeholders to enable trusted, high-quality data as a strategic asset. Reporting to the GM Data & AI, you will be the custodian of the data governance tool, providing authoritative guidance on policies and standards, and driving consistent adoption of data governance and data quality management practices across the organisation.Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Contributing to the development of policies, standards and guidelines for strategy development and planning.Implementing the data governance framework to enable data governance activity to be conducted.Providing expert advice and guidance on implementing personal data legislation controls in products, services, and systems.Owning and driving the adoption of data quality management processes, providing support to data stewards and custodians to identify root causes for data quality issues as well as defining the risks and business impacts.Managing problems and issues, overseeing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned, and the collection and dissemination of relevant information.This role is ideally based in Brisbane (Strathpine); however, we would also consider candidates based in Sydney (Rhodes), with a hybrid work model.About YouWe are seeking a Senior Data Governance Specialist who can influence stakeholders, navigate complex environments, and build strong, trusted relationships.
