The Project Manager oversees project teams, subcontractors, finances, client relationships, and compliance requirements.Minimum 3-5 years of civil construction project management experience is required.Experience in DTMR specifications is preferred but not essentialRoad construction experience is required.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Delivery: Develop and execute project delivery plans, schedules, methodologies, and resource allocation.Oversee the coordination of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.Monitor project progress and adjust strategies to meet program and budget targets.Ensure works comply with contract documents, specifications, standards, and legislation.Prepare and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and cash flow projections.Track and control project costs, variations, claims, and contingencies.Review subcontractor payments, supplier invoices, and financial reporting.Maintain strong commercial awareness to protect project/project margin.Safety, Quality & Environmental ComplianceEnsure implementation of WHS/OHS, environmental and quality management plans.Support and lead a positive safety culture with regular inspections and leadership engagement.Ensure compliance with ITPs, QA documentation, and regulatory requirements.Drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, sustainability, and productivity.Lead project teams including engineers, supervisors, foremen, and administrative support.Mentor junior staff, provide performance feedback, and support professional development.Foster strong teamwork, collaboration, and communication across site and office teams.Manage workforce planning, recruitment support, and staff allocation as required.Stakeholder & Client ManagementAct as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, authorities, and subcontractors.Maintain strong professional relationships and ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.Participate in meetings, reporting, and presentations to stakeholders.Manage disputes, negotiations, and conflict resolution when required.Manage contractual obligations, deliverables, and project documentation.Assess and mitigate project risks, delays, and constraints.Review subcontract agreements, scopes, and procurement packages.Ensure accurate reporting including progress reports, program updates, and risk registers.Strong knowledge of civil construction processes (earthworks, roads, drainage, structures, utilities, concrete works).Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong commercial, contractual, and financial management capabilities.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to make high-level project decisions.Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and MS Office.Highly organised, strategic, and capable of managing multiple priorities.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor''s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).Bachelor''s degree qualification is required.Current driver''s licence.Strong understanding of WHS legislation, environmental obligations, and QA systems.Ability to pass site-specific medicals, drug/alcohol testing, and inductions.Australian work rights are essentialPerformance IndicatorsDelivery of projects on time and within budget.Safety outcomes and compliance with WHS obligations.Quality of work and adherence to specifications and contractual requirements.Client satisfaction and repeat business.Financial performance, including cost control and variation management.Leadership effectiveness and team performance.About Brown ContractorsMoore, QLD, AustraliaThis company does not have any further information provided at this time.
