OverviewAdd expected salary to your profile for insights$74,847 pa (includes industry allowance and uniform allowance) + 12% super (level 6)Please note, progression in remuneration (up to Level 8 - $79,143 pa inc. allowances + super) is available for this position upon meeting performance and training requirements outlined in a structured crew leader framework.76 hour fortnightLocation: NarangbaAs a Parks Crew Leader, youll take ownership of maintaining and enhancing green spaces on your designated run while leading a small team of 12 operational staff.This role blends hands on horticultural work with essential administrative responsibilities to ensure the effective delivery of parks and open space maintenance services.Your leadership will directly influence the quality, safety and presentation of public open spaces across a variety of environments.ResponsibilitiesHorticultural and Operational Duties:Mowing and brush cuttingPlanting and mulchingPruning and weedingChemical application (as required)Operate and maintain relevant machinery and equipmentDrive a truck and trailer to and from work sitesEnsure all tasks are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standardSupervise, guide and support team members in the fieldCoordinate daily operations and allocate tasksPromote safe work practices and compliance with organisational proceduresAdministrative and Digital Tasks:Use digital tools (tablets, computers, software) to create and update work orders, review maintenance schedules, and identify required resources, materials and equipmentContribute to accurate reporting and efficient workflowYou''ll bring practical experience in horticultural maintenance and have successfully led small teams in similar operational environments. You''re confident working outdoors, operating machinery and maintaining high standards of safety and presentation across green spaces.Strong written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to manage basic administrative tasksConfidence using digital tools and software for scheduling and reportingA proactive, organised and safety focused approach to workMandatory Requirements:Current Medium Rigid (MR) class truck licence or aboveConstruction Induction Card (or willingness to obtain before starting)Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control (ACDC) certification (or willingness to obtain within six months of commencement)Desirable Qualifications:Certificate III in Horticulture, Parks and Gardens, Landscape Construction or a related field.
