Be part of the team that keeps our region safe, compliant and thriving Salary from $83,176 per annum (plus super) based on a 38-hour week 9-day fortnight Career development, mentoring, and training support A safe, inclusive, and community-focused workplace As a Senior Ranger with Armidale Regional Council, you will play an important role in delivering effective regulatory and compliance services across the Armidale and Guyra regions. Youll be responsible for investigating complex matters, conducting inspections, issuing notices and orders, preparing evidence, and representing Council when required. Your responsibilities will include overseeing development, environmental and companion animal compliance, ensuring regulatory standards are consistently applied and the community is wellserved. In this role, you will manage and respond to complaints and service requests, support the delivery of the animal control program, maintain accurate records, and work closely with a wide range of stakeholders including internal teams, state agencies and NSW Police. Youll also act as a key representative for the Rangers team when needed, contributing to a positive team culture and supporting Councils goal of providing consistent, professional and responsive regulatory services across the region. About You You are an experienced regulatory compliance professional who brings sound judgment, strong communication skills and the confidence to manage complex matters with professionalism. You have a solid understanding of local government legislation and compliance processes, along with demonstrated experience conducting investigations, preparing clear reports and engaging effectively with community members, stakeholders and state agencies. You thrive in a role where no two days are the same and are comfortable balancing fieldwork with detailed documentation and evidence preparation. You work well in a team environment, show initiative, and maintain a high level of accuracy in record keeping and service delivery. With strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to delivering quality customer service and the ability to navigate sensitive or challenging situations, you represent Council with integrity and a solutionsfocused approach.
