Apply on Kit Job: kitjobau.com/job/32vpds Company: South West NRM (Natural Resource Management) Location: South West WA (Bunbury) Type: Full time, Fixed term contract 31st July 2028 Salary: $80,000 to $90,000 based on experience and qualifications - Plus 12% superannuation - Annual salary cpi-increases - Flexible start/finish hours - Flexible work from home and office options - Mobile phone and laptop provided About the Position Were searching for a passionate Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator (SAF) a communications and engagement professional who can apply their skills and passions to helping empower farmers and landholders with adopting climate-smart, sustainable practices across one of Australias most biodiverse regions. Youll join a professional network of Sustainable Agriculture Facilitators located around Australia who are all funded by the Australian Government and work within other NRMs (Natural Resource Managers) like us. Key duties and responsibilities In this role you will attend and facilitate events, interview farmers about sustainable practices, create content such as newsletter articles and social media posts, help develop and deliver current projects and creative ideas for reaching new audiences and build relationships to facilitate connections between farmers, community groups, First Nations peoples, agriculture industries and expert advisers. An interest in continuous learning through attendance at regular sector workshops and seminars will be an asset to keep up with emerging science in sustainable agriculture. Coordination of a comprehensive Work Plan plus quarterly reporting to the Australian Government will be required to ensure SAF objectives are achieved. Essential Criteria - Extensive knowledge of sustainable agriculture practices, supported by a degree, diploma or demonstrated experience in agriculture, agricultural science, environmental science or agribusiness OR; - University qualification in communications or equivalent with a background in or knowledge of farming and sustainable agriculture. - Demonstrated ability to engage with external stakeholders such as farmers, agricultural industry bodies, researchers, government, community groups, Aboriginal organisations, private consultants, and volunteers. - Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills. - Advanced written communication skills and experience with preparing material for newsletters, social media and other communication platforms. - Ability to work autonomously, manage own time and priorities and problem solve. - Australian Residency or eligibility to legally work in Australia. - Drivers license. - Ability to travel to rural and remote locations with occasional overnight stays. Desirable Criteria - Ability to work in an ever-changing environment with a flexible can do and proactive attitude. - Demonstrated ability to solve problems and think out of the box. - Demonstrated personal drive and integrity by taking pride in own work and deliverables.
