OverviewWe are exclusively partnering with Syngenta, a global leader in Agriculture and Crop Science, to appoint a Technology & Digital Lead for their Australian business. Syngenta operates in a highly competitive global market where rapid advances in digital, data, advanced manufacturing, machine learning, and AI are reshaping how agricultural organisations compete.Role PurposeSyngenta is redefining how it operates by embracing digital transformation and harnessing the potential of data, modern platforms, and AI to unlock new growth opportunities across the Australian business. This role will be central to that shift, shaping how technology enables smarter decisions, stronger customer outcomes, and new sources of competitive advantage.Reporting to the Global IT & Digital Lead, you will set the direction for digital, data, and AI in Australia, ensuring initiatives are strategically aligned and commercially impactful. You will champion innovation, identify high-value opportunities, and lead teams to deliver solutions that position Syngenta at the forefront of digital agriculture.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute the Digital, Data & AI strategy for the Australian businessCut through AI noise to identify high-value use cases that drive commercial impactAlign local delivery with global platforms, architecture, and data strategyAct as a strategic partner to senior leaders across sales, operations, and ITLead the shift from traditional processes to modern, AI-enabled ways of workingEstablish a modern data foundation to address fragmentation across the businessOversee a modern data platform leveraging Databricks on AWSEnsure platforms are scalable, resilient, and future-ready for advanced analytics and AILead, mentor, and develop data science teams and machine learning engineers to deliver high-value digital and AI solutionsLead and grow a team of four direct reports while building future capabilityEssential Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceProven leadership experience across Digital, Data, and AIStrong understanding of machine learning and applied AI (at a leadership and prioritisation level)Exposure to modern data platforms (Databricks and AWS strongly preferred)Comfortable operating in complex, global, matrixed organisationsDemonstrated ability to translate technology initiatives into commercial outcomesWhat ''s on OfferA rare opportunity to shape the digital and AI future of Syngenta AustraliaA balance of strategic influence and hands-on deliveryHybrid working modelCompetitive senior-level remuneration packageAttractive bonus schemeApplication ProcessIf you wish to apply for this position, please submit your resume by clicking the ''Apply Now'' button.
