The opportunity Working with a small but dynamic insurance team to support the Australian rural insurance sector with timely underwriting across our crop and lifestyle insurance lines. Be the trusted technical voice behind fast turnaround, clear decisions, and broker confidence. Responsibilities Respond to intermediary and customer queries; triage referrals and shape competitive solutions. Underwrite rural risks (crop and lifestyle farms) within delegated authority, escalating when appropriate. Balance risk selection and pricing with broker experience; documenting decisions clearly. Feed intermediary insights into our product and process improvements. Support renewal retention and quality file management. What youll bring Proven underwriting capability with a core strength in crop and rural lifestyle risks, complemented by broader experience across rural, commercial, and personal lines underwriting. Strong intermediary relationship skills: responsive, clear, solutionsoriented. Sound judgment on rural risk factors; confident with delegated authority frameworks. Curiosity and adaptability in a fastmoving, growth environment. Location & flexibility Primary: North Sydney (Head office) or Echuca, Victoria (rural hub) Secondary: The possibility to work one day a week from home after the first 6 months of employment (subject to mutual agreement). Travel to intermediary partners and regional events.
