If you possess practical knowledge of or experience in FOI and Privacy, we would love to hear from you!The Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) is currently seeking applications for 2 Senior Information Access Officers, to join the FOI & Privacy section within the legal team.These ongoing hybrid/flexible positions can be in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney.Remuneration: The annual salary range for the position is APS6 - $94,563 - $106,394 p.a., plus a generous employer superannuation contribution of 15.4% (our Enterprise Agreement will deliver a 3.4% pay increase from 12 March 2026).About the opportunity:On establishment of the Administrative Review Tribunal a new FOI & Privacy team was created within the Legal branch, consolidating all FOI & Privacy functions previously undertaken across the Tribunal. The team plays a critical role in ensuring the Tribunal meets its statutory obligations under the Freedom of Information Act and maintains strong privacy governance in accordance with the Privacy Act.This is a unique opportunity for successful candidates to be involved in all aspects of FOI & Privacy at an interesting and critical time for the organisation.This role is responsible for contributing to a wide range of Privacy and FOI functions, comprising:privacy activities, including privacy breach assessment, advisory work and the development of privacy-enhancing practices.managing complex FOI matters and support corporate FOI processes, ensuring the Tribunal continues to meet its transparency obligations.caseload of complex or significant case related and corporate FOI & Privacy mattersleading business improvement projects in relation to best practice for FOI and Privacy related processes.The successful candidates will work alongside other Senior Information Access Officers of the FOI & Privacy team and may be responsible for leading and mentoring more junior staff in administering the FOI and Privacy Acts in a high volume workload making FOI decisions on behalf of the Tribunal.
