We are looking for a Radiopharmaceutical Science Registrar to join our dedicated team! About The Role You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). The Radiopharmaceutical Science Registrar (referred to as the Trainee), will be trained in the standard of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), the manufacture and QC of radiopharmaceuticals, maintenance of records including records required for a TGA-licensed facility, routine instrumentation calibration, environmental monitoring activities and adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements in the Department of Molecular Imaging (PET & Nuclear Medicine) at RPA which operates a medical cyclotron. The Trainee will be expected to undertake advanced education and training in radiopharmaceutical science with the expectation, after review and examination, of eligibility for certification as a Radiopharmaceutical Scientist by the Australian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM). This is a great opportunity to join a diverse team with the ability to enhance skills and gain knowledge in a Hospital Department that was the 1st in the country to obtain a GMP TGA Licence for the manufacture of PET radiopharmaceuticals. Ideal Candidate A relevant degree (MSc or PhD) in Chemistry, Pharmacy or Medicinal Chemistry from an approved University. Demonstrated experience in synthetic, organic or medicinal chemistry. Demonstrated experience and understanding of analytical chemistry and use of analytical instrumentation such as HPLC and GC.
