OverviewOur client is a global leader in poultry breeding, supplying high-quality breeding stock to poultry producers worldwide. With a strong focus on animal welfare, biosecurity, and operational excellence, they are seeking an experienced Farm Manager to lead one of their regional New South Wales farming operations.ResponsibilitiesOversee all daily farm operations to meet production, welfare, and quality targetsLead, supervise, and develop farm staff, including rostering and performance managementEnsure compliance with Aviagen standards, biosecurity protocols, animal welfare, and WHS requirementsMonitor flock health, performance, and environmental conditions, taking corrective action as requiredManage farm records, reporting, and auditsCoordinate maintenance of sheds, equipment, and infrastructureLiaise with veterinarians, technical teams, and managementDrive continuous improvement initiatives across the farmManage budgets and control operational costs where applicableRequirementsDemonstrated experience managing poultry, livestock, or intensive animal production systemsStrong leadership and people management skillsSound understanding of biosecurity, animal welfare, and workplace safetyPractical, solutions-focused approach with strong decision-making abilityAbility to work weekends and public holidays as part of an on-call or rotating rosterStrong communication and organisational skillsRelevant agricultural or animal science qualifications are highly regardedBenefitsGlobal leaderCommitment to innovationOngoing training and learning & developmentVarious career avenuesAbout BrunelBrunel is a recruitment and flexible workforce solution provider which connects talented people with opportunities throughout Australasia and around the world.
