By connecting digitising systems across the State, DGS drives improved service delivery and a more resilient digital ecosystem. Within DGS, the Cybersecurity and Digital Resilience division oversees the states digital resilience, cyber posture and whole of government incident response. About the role Reporting to the Deputy Secretary, Digital and Government Services, the Chief Information Security Officer and Executive Director Digital Resilience leads the Victorian governments cybersecurity policy, services and incident response capability. This strategic role shapes and delivers initiatives to strengthen cyber maturity across departments agencies, ensuring a coordinated, contemporary and resilient whole of government approach. Key responsibilities include leading the Victorian Government Cyber Defence Centre, directing the response to major cybersecurity incidents, and driving improvements to IT systems and telecommunications resilience. As a highly visible and influential executive, this people leadership role advocates for the government''s interests in interjurisdictional forums and provides authoritative, trusted advice on cybersecurity matters. About you You are a seasoned Information Security executive with significant experience operating in sensitive, high stakes environments. You excel at identifying, interpreting and communicating cybersecurity, data protection and digital resilience risks at strategic and operational levels. You bring deep expertise in incident management, and can lead and coordinate technical responses to critical cyber security incidents. With outstanding people leadership and change management capability, you are proven in building and maintaining cohesive, high-performing teams, navigating ambiguity and creating a positive uplift in capability and culture to lead this function for the state.
