As General Manager, Digital and Information, you will lead the Commissions enterprise technology and digital transformation functions during a pivotal moment in its evolution. About the QBCC The QBCC is Queenslands independent building and construction regulator, established under the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991. The General Manager, Digital and Information will play a pivotal role in shaping and enabling this transformation culturally, operationally and technologically. About the Role Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and leading a team of approximately 55, the General Manager, Digital and Information, is accountable for: Overseeing the delivery of secure, resilient and modern enterprise IT services, including architecture, applications, infrastructure and service management. Ensuring the Commission maintains a strong cyber security posture, meets its business continuity obligations, and is operationally prepared to respond to digital risk or service disruption. Ensuring that its core systems are reliable, resilient, available, stable and scalable in line with the organisations transformation agenda and risk appetite statements Leading the QBCCs information governance and records management functions, ensuring compliance with legislative and operational requirements while modernising supporting systems and processes. Implementing and refining the QBCCs Technology Strategy, aligning enterprise architecture with future-state goals and capability uplift. Accountable for the sponsorship of major digital transformation initiatives, working in close partnership with the Transformation and Change Division to deliver key outcomes on time, on budget, to quality expectations and benefit realisation. This role blends strategic clarity with hands-on oversight. You will shape direction, manage risk, uplift capability, and ensure that systems, services and teams are fit for purpose in an organisation undergoing significant transformation and reform. About You This role is a unique opportunity for a seasoned digital executive with the technical depth, leadership presence and track record of delivering digital transformation that shapes the future of an organisation undergoing significant transformation. You will bring: Senior leadership experience across enterprise ICT, digital and cyber portfolios, with a record of delivering modern, resilient and customer-focused services. A track record of leading and executing complex transformation programs, with the judgment and resilience to operate across ambiguity, competing demands and high expectations. Strong understanding of cyber security, business continuity and digital risk and take a leadership and influential role when the pressure is on. The ability to lead vendor and commercial negotiations with confidence and discipline, securing outcomes that add value, are commercially sound and progress the QBCCs strategic plan. Appetite to quickly adapt to new technologies and realise early business value and benefit. A collaborative, calm and capable leadership style, with the ability to build trust quickly and bring others on the journey. An exceptional communicator who is able to break complex ICT concepts into language that is tailored to their audience This is not a development opportunity and will require someone with a proven track record of executive leadership in ICT.
