Food & Beverage Attendant Position details POSITION REPORTS TO: Restaurant Manager, Food and Beverage Supervisor, Food and Beverage Team Leader POSITIONS REPORTING TO THIS POSITION: Nil Key relationships Owners and Guests; Food and Beverage personnel; Finance and Stores team members Primary objectives In this role you will be responsible for order taking and serving of Food and Beverages while providing an exceptional guest experience, in line with Travel + Leisures vision to put the World on Vacation. Values Hospitality treating everyone like family Engagement delivering our promise Accountability owning our impact Respect considering others in every interaction Teamwork succeeding together Principal responsibilities - Provide effective, efficient and professional Food and Beverage service. - Ensure a smooth running Food and Beverage service, providing hand-in-hand teamwork with adequate employees including food and beverage preparation and serving. - Ensure all equipment is well maintained and stored appropriately and advise any faults to Manager. - Regularly review operating systems to ensure optimal efficiencies are achieved. - Maintain all stock levels daily, including ordering and rotating. Report any discrepancies to manager. - Ensure that all necessary food prep and required items are adequately available each day. - Ensure Food Safety guidelines are followed at all times, ensuring all food temperatures are correct, and food prep is labeled with date prepared. - Maintain the highest level of customer service to ensure all needs for the owners and guests are met. - Ensure all communication of necessary points is carried out clearly and concisely. - Liaise with your supervisor/manager regarding any problems or complaints that arise. - Be punctual when arriving at work and returning from meal breaks. - Maintain exemplary grooming including fresh, ironed uniforms, wear name badge and ensure that personal hygiene standards are maintained at all times. - Employees must comply with Travel + Leisures OH&S Policy, procedures and any reasonable instruction given by Travel + Leisure. - Employees must not wilfully place at risk the health and safety of themselves or any other persons in the workplace and not wilfully or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided for health and safety. - Display innovation through inspiring, creating and improving processes and products. - Show integrity in all aspects of the position by doing the right thing, taking responsibility and delivering on the promise. Finance - Proficient with POS system. - Comply with all internal accounting and control procedures related to the area. - Assist in achieving maximum food and beverage sales; up-sell to achieve higher sales. - Review orders and ensure details are accurately entered in POS. - Conduct cash balances when required and ensure accounts in POS are balanced, signed and charged correctly. - Ensure assigned float is counted and returned to full amount at end of shift. - Follow correct cash procedures. General - Ensure operating equipment in the working area is properly maintained and cleaned. - Advise Maintenance of any faulty equipment. - Understand and adhere to the companys policy relating to Fire, Food Safety and Hygiene Policies and Occupational Health and Safety requirements. - Comply with OH&S policies and any reasonable instruction given by the company. - Display service standards to internal and external parties. - Demonstrate innovation through improving processes and products; show integrity and responsibility. - Understand and adhere to Operational Manuals and Employee Handbooks. - Maintain confidentiality of passwords and company security measures. - Be conversant with all facilities and services of the business; attend meetings, briefings and training as required. - Record times accurately using the timesheet; adapt to changes in departmental function. - Conduct regular training within the department and plan training sessions as needed. - Any other duties as assigned by the manager within the scope of the job. Key position criteria - Previous experience within a similar position. - Knowledge and understanding of OH&S and chemical handling. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, public and school holidays.
