As a staff member at Alta1, you will never feel alone.Role Purpose & Key ResponsibilitiesEducation Facilitators at Alta1 College are essential to the effective delivery of a recovery focused education to enrolled students. With responsibilities covering program and teacher assistance, student learning support and lowlevel wellbeing support, our Education Facilitator roles are dynamic and rewarding roles. No day is ever the same, yet at the same time there are overarching structures that knit everything together. Individuals with teacher aide, youth work and chaplaincy qualifications and experience may be well suited to the role and are encouraged to apply.Education Facilitator assists teachers in the delivery of educational programs and provides daytoday support for individual students and small groups. They:Support the implementation of curriculum and recovery programs under teacher directionProvide administrative and classroom support to assist teaching staffCare for students wellbeing in line with Alta1 values and protocolsSupervise and engage students in small groups and one-to-one contextsParticipate in extracurricular and campus activitiesThe role requires professionalism, effective communication, and a commitment to building positive, supportive relationships with young people.Role Selection CriteriaEssential (applicable to all college staff):Commitment to Christian faith, college values and the highest standards of professional conductPassionate about supporting atrisk and vulnerable young people towards positive growth and changeEssential (role specific):Demonstrated capacity to support teachers in delivering curriculum and programsStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage students positivelyAbility to maintain accurate records and follow established proceduresExperience with and commitment to student wellbeing, inclusion, and safetyHighly desirable:Knowledge of traumainformed, inclusive education practicesPrevious experience working with atrisk and educationally disengaged young peopleRequired Qualifications:Cert IV in Youth Work or in Chaplaincy & Pastoral Care or Education Support/Teacher Assistant qualification (or higher)The holder of a Blue Card (or have the ability to obtain one)Willingness to undertake National Criminal History CheckHolder of a valid driver licenseHow to applyIf you can see yourself becoming a member of the growing Alta1 team and succeeding in this role then please apply.
