Overview Join to apply for the Field Technician Diesel Mechanic role at Raytheon Australia. Location: AUSSA121: Mawson Lakes SA, 1-11 Technology Drive, Mawson Lakes, SA, 5095, Australia Date Posted: 2025-10-07 Country: Australia Key Responsibilities Ensuring work is carried out to a consistently high standard. Provision of specialist maintenance services to Test Range instrument systems equipment, including light and heavy grade maintenance. Deployment and operation of Instrumentation Trailers across the Woomera Test Range in support of defence trials. Producing maintenance reports and contributing to system health indicators for production and program management. Provision of configuration management support to selected mission systems. Provision of support activities for breakdown spares, repairable items, and test equipment. Providing technical support in the conduct of engineering and maintenance services for the customer. Regular travel within Australia and internationally, including approx. 16-20 weeks per year at Woomera Test Range; deployments typically 13 weeks. Working with Diesel Generators, Heavy to Light Trucks and Light Vehicles, with potential further training on specialised instruments. Perform diagnostic testing to identify issues. Skills, Experience and Qualifications Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology. Minimum of 3 years relevant post-qualification experience. Understanding of commercial vehicle engines and drive trains. Understanding of diesel power generation. Understanding of auto electrical systems is highly desirable.
