Youll help create a safe and respectful environment where individuals are supported to make positive life changes. This full-time, permanent role is based in Wooroloo, WA, offering both purpose and stability in your career. As a Custodial Officer in the Acacia Prison team, youll make a positive impact by: Ensuring safety and security through effective supervision and dynamic security practices Supporting rehabilitation and reintegration by encouraging engagement in education and work programs Conducting searches, responding to incidents, and preparing accurate reports Building positive relationships with inmates and staff based on respect and fairness Promoting cultural awareness and inclusion across the facility Maintaining a safe and secure workplace by following health and safety protocols Serco is a place for you You could be a great fit if you have: A Certificate III in Correctional Practice, or willingness to obtain it within the first year (full training provided) Strong communication and interpersonal skills The ability to stay composed and professional in challenging situations A commitment to diversity and cultural sensitivity Physical fitness to meet the roles requirements, including control and restraint training A valid drivers licence In joining us, youll be part of a highly supportive culture with trusted leaders that will help you achieve your goals.
