Full-time, rostered position based onsite in the beautiful rural town of Finley, NSW Attractive roster cycle of 5 days on / 2 days off / 7 days on / 7 days off Five weeks of annual leave per year Murray Irrigation is seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Plant Operator to join our team in Finley. The company''s irrigators are also shareholders and include 2,100 landholdings across 724,000 hectares in the Southern Riverina. For more details please visit: www.murrayirrigation.com.au About the role As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plant, machinery, and equipment such as trucks, excavators, loaders, and graders. Other responsibilities of the role include weed control, infrastructure repairs, conducting daily pre-starts and job-starts and reporting on infrastructure condition and effectiveness. You will possess strong communication skills, essential for maintaining positive, professional relationships with landholders and team members. About you The ideal candidate will have the following experience and attributes: Minimum of three years experience operating heavy plant and trucks Experience operating plant items (e.g. excavator, grader, loader, spray units) WHS General Induction for Construction Work (NSW) Basic computer skills and experience using electronic devices to support operational and administrative tasks. Strong focus on safety and excellent safety record. Ability to work independently and unsupervised Physically fit Knowledge of Murray Irrigations operating environment, relevant certifications such as First Aid, Manual Handling, Confined Space, and Farm Chemical User and a current HC Licence will be an advantage.
