WaiterPermanent Role$65k-$75k PAPort Douglas QLDPOSITIONWe have a full-time position for a Waiter available in Port Douglas, QLD 4877SKILLSThe role requires you to hold a relevant AQF (or equivalent) Certificate IIIand at least one year of relevant work experience.RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Waiter, you will provide friendly, efficient, and professional food and beverage service in a high-volume hospitality environment. You will contribute to a welcoming and relaxed dining atmosphere while maintaining consistent service standards. The role requires strong knowledge of food, beverages, and coffee offerings, as well as effective communication with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.TASKSGreet customers in a warm and professional manner and assist with seating or takeaway orders.Present menus and daily specials, offering recommendations and answering customer enquiries.Take accurate food and beverage orders for dine-in and takeaway service.Communicate orders clearly to kitchen and service staff.Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring quality, presentation, and consistency.Deliver and clear tables efficiently during busy service periods.Prepare and serve beverages as required, including basic coffee service if trained.Handle customer requests, feedback, and complaints courteously and professionally.Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and process cash and electronic payments accurately.Maintain cleanliness and organisation of dining areas, service stations, and equipment.Monitor customer satisfaction and respond proactively to service needs.Follow food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety, and RSA requirements at all times.Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and packing down service areas.Support the training of new front-of-house staff when required.ADDITIONAL ATTRIBUTESFriendly and customer-focused approach.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced service environment.High attention to detail and good time management.Professional personal presentation.Experience using POS systems and handling payments.SALARYThe position offers an annual salary of $65,000 to $75,000, negotiated based on experience.TO APPLYApplications in Word format should be forwarded to us by clicking the Apply button below. #J-18808-Ljbffr
