Overview Take on a pivotal leadership role as Director, Budget Office at Queensland Treasury, where you will drive financial and non-financial data projects, support Budget processes, and provide expert advice to shape Queenslands economic future. Queensland Treasury is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our multi-disciplinary leadership team as the Director, Budget Office. This is an exciting opportunity to lead critical financial and non-financial data collection and analytical projects that support the delivery of the Queensland Budget and Mid-Year Fiscal and Economic Review processes. Collaborate with stakeholders across Treasury, government departments, statutory bodies, and other entities to deliver world-class service delivery and public sector management. As Director, you will provide strategic leadership, expert advice, and innovative solutions to contribute to Queensland''s economic recovery priorities and long-term development strategy. In This Role Develop strategies and tools to monitor delivery against Budget decisions. Oversee agency expenditure performance through bespoke data collections and dashboard management. Lead one-off information collection, transformation, and delivery projects. Provide strong leadership and direction to a skilled, professional team. Deliver expert advice, analysis, and guidance on complex issues to the Treasurer, Treasury executive, senior management, and other stakeholders. Plan, drive, and deliver initiatives to advance projects and programs of work. Support the broader Budget Office with the delivery of the State Budget and Mid-Year Fiscal and Economic Review. Manage key relationships across the department and Queensland Government to ensure successful delivery of planned outcomes. What Experience You Will Bring Proven ability to lead projects and engage multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders effectively. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to edit public-facing documents with a technical focus. Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and build relationships. Demonstrated ability to manage and scope stakeholder expectations.
