Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church, established in 1866, is one of Australia''s leading and most respected co-educational independent schools. With an enrolment of 3,400 students from ECLC to Year 12, it comprises three metropolitan campuses in Melbourne, at St Kilda Road, Glen Waverley and Elsternwick, outdoor education sites at Chum Creek, Mallana, Lochend and a Year 9 residential campus at Clunes. The College seeks to appoint a Head of Senior School (Years 10-12) at theGlen Waverley Campus commencing in Semester 2, 2026. In making this appointment, the Principal is seeking an outstanding educational leader who, among other qualities, can demonstrate: A proven ability to lead and inspire students in Years10-12 Extensive leadership experience including the ability to act with integrity, responsibility, professionalism, trust and confidentiality A broad understanding of the development and educational needs ofyoungpeople A deep appreciation of theparticular learningstyles, social and emotional needs of students A strong background in academic programmes and curriculum and familiarity with the International Baccalaureate MYP and Diploma programmes and the Victorian Certificate of the Education (including VET). A personal presence and highly effective communication skills in relationships with students, staff and parents A capacity to enjoy the rich diversity of daily life at the school and to contribute to the overall leadership of the campus The Head of Senior School is responsible to the Head of Campus and is a member of the Campus Executive team.
