The role is responsible for providing instructions on complex day-to-day matters and will hold delegated authority where appropriate and provide advice to act as a sounding board on these matters when requested. The role will lead with a focus on continuous improvement and a strategic approach to ensure effective capability exists and a supportive culture is in place for the management of workload, performance, and wellbeing.The Legal Operations Manager is expected to approach the role from a standpoint of trauma minimisation for victims and their families, from a position of vigilance against vicarious trauma, and with the objective of the ODPP maximising its skills and abilities to attain justice for the community.About the BusinessThe ODPP is an office of approximately 200 staff, comprising both legal and administrative functions. The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions was established through the Director of Public Prosecutions Act, 1991 to provide an effective, fair and independent criminal prosecution service for the people of South Australia. The Office is committed to the highest ethical and professional standards.Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory.
