We deliver 28 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 380,000 residents.The roleWe are looking for a community focused Customer Service Officer to join CBCity. Be one of our main points of contact for all our community members'' service requests and transactions. You will be supporting the community both on the phone and through face-to-face assistance, providing information and coordinating actions across Council''s services and facilities.DutiesTo deliver quality customer service and project a positive image of Council.Provide accurate information, resolve enquiries, and refer customers when needed.Act as the professional first point of contact across all customer channels.Handle a broad range of enquiries, challenging interactions and maintaining efficiency.Register, action, or escalate customer requests while supporting high service standards.Maintain professionalism, ongoing training, and promote a positive image of Council.For a full list of duties, review the position description.You will haveCertificate III in Customer Contact or equivalent Customer Service experienceAble to work Mondays and FridaysExperience in managing customer relationshipsComputer literacy skillsKnowledge of Local Government functions and responsibilitiesKnowledge of Canterbury-Bankstown LGA, including geography, activities and servicesSkills in a language other than EnglishThe salary range for this opportunity starts at $71,820 (Grade D, Step 1) + 12% super.
