All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.The RoleProvides high level co-ordination, administrative, operational, budget & business management support to the Director, Pathology Services and Business Manager. This will include functions relating to operational and administrative support to the whole of Pathology Services, assisting in the maintenance of staff establishments and processing of payroll. Communication and liaison with Pathology staff, other RHH departments and agencies, including but not limited to the organisation of meetings and preparation of ministerial briefings. The incumbent will support the Business Manager in day-to-day budget management, preparation of cost centre budgets, financial reporting, ensuring compliance with end of month reporting deadlines and coordination of business requirements of Pathology.You will needDemonstrated ability to provide high level administrative, operational and business support to the management and senior scientists in a timely manner.High level of interpersonal skills including communication, with the ability to negotiate and liaise effectively with a broad range of people in a confidential manner.Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of information technology software, including activity, financial and human resource systems, with a focus on reporting and data entry functions.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Why TasmaniaThe Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, Northwest Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital, as well as district hospitals and ambulance services. Day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.SalaryGeneral Stream Band 4$81,915 to $94,263 per annum.
